Belinda Campbell
Belinda is an actor, writer, director and drama teacher. Trained at National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (2008). Her studies have included: extensive training in theatre, Speech & Drama, Alexander Technique, screen acting, singing, dance and Tai Chi. Belinda has performed in over twenty five plays and musicals, a number of television commercials and short films. Recent stage credits include: Bombshells, Outside In, Hero's guide to Saving the Planet, Macbeth, Fairy Tale News, Cosi and The Bookworm. Co-founder of Wit Incorporated theatre company (2014), she remains Artistic Director there and teaches the children's drama program, Wit Kids. She has directed three shows for wit incorporated, A Scandal in the Weimar, Couch Potato, Ophelia Thinks Harder, as well as more than 17 children's drama productions. Her writing (including five plays) has been performed at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne Fringe Festival. Her plays (Fairy Tale News and A Hero’s Guide to Saving the Planet) have been published by Australian plays online, and her poetry by Blackmail Press. She was delighted to accept the Maribyrnong Civic Arts Award (2018) with Jennifer Piper on behalf of wit incorporated. Belinda loves writing and performing songs on the ukulele for adults and children (sometimes even at the same time).
